Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. After her first small part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to take on the role of model. She then developed her career as a commercial model. Doody tried to stay clear of glamour and nude roles, this was the principle she applied in her acting. After receiving notice from the casting directors of an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody is only 18 when she played the part of Doody in the movie A prayer for the dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. She is the tiniest Bond Girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 film adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading role of Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. In 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody was a character on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). She was also set to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November 2018 she received the Almeria award for best film and was awarded a Star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
